If there was one thing I had to choose to hyperfixate on until the day I die, it might be linguistics/languages in the broadest sense possible (yes, that would include things like mathematics, culture, a11y, etc. too).
As of right now, I followed the rabbit into the rabbit hole of subtitles and my goal is to write subtitles for series and films which are a11y, so that more of us can enjoy this beautiful art form and partake in the masterfully crafted dialogues.
