About Simon Richter

I'm a professor of Dutch and German cultural studies at the University of Pennsylvania. My focus is on cultural aspects of climate adaptation in coastal regions, especially in the Netherlands, Germany, the USA, and Indonesia. I'm the PI of Project Poldergeist, an experiment in the use of animated video in order to raise awareness about sea level rise and its impacts and to participate in policy debates.
